About the Department
Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. The engineering field requires an understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis. Mechanical engineers use these core principles along with tools like computer-aided engineering and product lifecycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices and more

Department of Mechanical Engineering has been started in the year of 2012 with the intake of 60 and the intake has been increased to 120 in the year of2013. In addition with regular academics, Department is strives towards the empowerment of Staff members and students by arranging the Seminars, Workshops, key note lectures on recent technologies and allowing the students to go for industrial visits and in-plant training to understand the cutting edge technologies following in the industries. Students are encouraged to concentrate on studies as well as on extra and co-curricular activities at the full extent.
Vision & Mission
Vision :

Achieve the transcendence standard quality education in mechanical engineering with sound technical knowledge, practical skills and to develop the technocrats to cater the needs of socio-economic development of the country.

Mission :

To enhance the technical knowledge and communication skill of Diploma students by providing strong technical platform to meet out the industrial needs.
To encourage the students to develop the technical solutions for the issues found in the industry and society.
